Do Yeong Kang
Hello! I am a Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in the Green Lab with Prof. Saibal Mukhopadhyay. I recently completed my M.S. at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), advised by Prof. Jong Hwan Ko. I also worked closely with Prof. Kang Eun Jeon. During my undergraduate studies, I earned my B.S. in Mathematics and Electronic & Electrical Engineering (double major) at SKKU.
My research questions are as follows: in theory, (1) how high-dimensional features can be captured in a compact latent space; and in practice, (2) how model weights and computation can be reduced, and (3) how those gains are realized on real hardware.
I'm interested in (1) Low Rank Compression and (2) Efficient Multi-Agent Systems & Communication. Previously, I worked on Hyperdimensional Computing (HDC) & In-Memory Computing (IMC).
